Music Ministry

Vocalists and instrumentalists should be able to commit time to rehearsals and performances as scheduled (generally no more than one rehearsal per week per group).

Vocalists and instrumentalists are encouraged to explore and use their gifts in worship to our Lord through a number of opportunities. From the smallest of children to the most "mature" adults — all are welcome. Please read on and choose the group that best fits your age, skills, and interest.

Cherubs

An introduction to choir for children 4 years old through 1st grade. On hiatus for the 2010-2011 ministry year. (VW)

Choristers

Offers young people in grades 2 through 6 the opportunity to try a variety of musical experiences. On hiatus for the 2010-2011 ministry year. (VW)

Festival Choir

A seasonal choir for children in grades 2 through 8.
Festival Ringers (Hand Chimes): This choir will lead worship on Thanksgiving Day — Nov. 25. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00pm, October 5 through November 23.
Festival Singers: This choir will lead worship on Christmas Eve at the 3:00pm service. Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:00am November 13 to December 18. (VW)

Musical Wonders

This group provides our 3 and 4 year olds (accompanied by an adult) the opportunity to explore music and movement in a group setting. On hiatus for the 2010-2011 ministry year. (VW)

Singers/Players for occasional worship

These small groups lead worship on an as needed basis in an acoustic praise style. Rehearsals are scheduled on varying days of the week allowing for a maximum number of participants. Open to high school students and adults by audition. (VW)

Orchestra

Leads worship seasonally. All players are welcome. Please contact for more information regarding rehearsals and difficulty level of music. (MH)

Praise! Band

Leads worship the second weekend of each month. Rehearsals are held on varying days of the week. Open to high school students and adults by audition. (VW)

Ringing Saints

This handbell ensemble meets Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:30pm, September through April. Ringers practice to lead worship, perform in concerts, and participate in special holiday services. The Ringing Saints' repertoire includes a variety of styles and influences, including some original arrangements. Open to high school students and adults. (MH)

Voices of Peace

This adult choir meets Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00pm, September through April. They lead worship, perform in concerts, and participate in special services, such as Christmas and Easter, singing music from a variety of styles and periods. Open to high school students and adults. (MH)
