A Plan for Giving

The Prince of Peace Dei Campaign offers you the services of Gift Planning Specialist Phil Meinzen. Phil will answer all your questions about making the most of your gift-giving opportunities.

Meet Phil, join us for a cup of coffee, and listen to his presentation on Sunday, October 26 at 11:00am in Room 9. Childcare will be available.

Make a confidential individual appointment to ask your own questions. Appointments are available on October 26, October 30, and November 3. Please contact Sandy at 847-359-3451 or at for a one-on-one consultation with Phil.

Simply Giving

The Prince of Peace Stewardship Board invites you to consider giving your offering to Prince of Peace via electronic funds transfer. At no cost to you or the church, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans sponsors a program called Simply Giving. By participating in this program, your weekly, semi-monthly, or montly offering can be automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account, similar perhaps to what you may already do with a mortgage or car payment.

If you wish to participate, please download and complete the short program enrollment form (3.32mb). If you have any questions regarding the completion of this form, please conact Judy Kiehl during regular church office hours at 847-359-3451.

Hands and Feet Serving Camp What is Congregational Care?
Congregational Care at POP consists of five ministries in one. Through the Visitation Ministry our visitation pastor calls on the homebound and those who are in hospitals, nursing homes, etc. to provide spiritual care and support. The Parish Nurse Ministry provides blood pressure screening, health education, health counseling, and community health resources. The Care Ministry consists of teams of volunteers who provide meals for those who cannot prepare meals for themselves due to special circumstances, send cards of encouragement, get well, sympathy, etc. and provide comfort through grief support and funeral luncheons. Stephen Ministry – Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who have been trained to minister to people experiencing a crisis, facing a challenge, or simply going through a tough time. Prayer Ministry encourages prayer by anyone, anytime using special events such as the 24-hour Prayer Chain, prayers before and after services, the Good Friday Prayer Walk, and more.
