Summer Worship Schedule Begins Next Weekend!
Our 2012 summer worship schedule will begin Memorial Day weekend, May 26-27 and run through Labor Day weekend, September 1-2. Summer service times will be Saturdays at 5:00pm and Sunday mornings at 8:30am and 10:30am. Be sure to join us for Coffee and Conversation with the Pastors in between services. Mark your calendars now! Questions? Please contact the church office.
Pictorial Directory Appointments
A new church pictorial directory is coming! Pictures will be taken June 19-23, June 26-30, and July 5-7. You can make your appointment at the table in the narthex after any service or online through the link on our church website. Volunteers are also needed to help staff the appointment table and to check people in during the photography sessions. Please sign up at the Welcome Center or contact Michelle Gonzales if you can help.
Haiti Mission Trip Donations Needed
This June, over twenty students and adults will be serving in Haiti. The Jacmel team will be visiting the tent cities and have to opportunity to bring the hope we have in Jesus along with "New Baby" Kits and Hygiene Kits. The teams are in need of specific supplies for both kits. Both teams will be leading Vacation Bible Schools and donations for items used during VBS are also needed. In Les Cayes, we are still in need of laptop computers for the new Computer School that will be setup. A donation list and sign-up sheets are available at the Welcome Center. So check it out today! Most importantly, the team members ask for your prayers for our safety as we travel and for the people of Haiti, who are in need spiritually and physically. If you have any further questions, please contact Tim Kaufmann, Director of Student Ministry at 847-359-3451.
Early Morning Drivers Needed for Haiti Teams
On Friday, June 15, twenty-one students and adults will depart early from Prince of Peace for O'Hare airport. Due to the amount of luggage and the number of people going, we are in need of adults with larger vehicles (mini-vans or SUV's) to drive us to O'Hare airport in the early morning. We will be meeting at POP at 4:30am to pack-up, pray, and depart for the airport together. If you have a larger vehicle and can help drive us to the airport that morning, please contact Tim Kaufmann in the church office at 847-359-3451 ext. 116 or email him at tim@reachgrowserve.org.
Altar Flowers
The flowers decorating the altar this weekend are provided by Spencer and Jennifer Arne, celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary and by Mark and Stephanie West, celebrating the 1st anniversary of the baptism of their daughter, Gabrielle. Thank you and God's blessings to you!
Update Your Information
Have you made any changes to your address, telephone number, and/or email address? If so, please advise the church office as soon as possible as work on the 2012-2013 church directory has now begun and we want to make sure we can provide the most accurate information possible. Questions? Contact Sandy Wunluck at 847-359-3451 or office@reachgrowserve.org.
Many Coolers Waiting to Go Home
If you are one of the generous people who lent us a cooler/s for our World-Famous Easter Breakfast on April 8 and have not yet taken it home, please pick it up in the Fellowship Hall at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

Home Improvement Projects Still Needed for Summer Serving Camp
Do you know someone who lives in the Palatine area who is handicapped, elderly, etc. and could use some assistance with a home improvement project? Projects need to be appropriate for a small group of 6th-8th grade students to do this summer at Serving Camp, June 25-29. Projects such as yard work, clean-up or outdoor painting (perhaps a fence, deck or garage) would be perfect. Please contact Joy Kaufmann, Student Minister at joy@reachgrowserve.org as soon as possible. We want to serve; we need your help.

Prince of Peace's Core Values
Personal Evangelism — We believe sharing our faith is most effective and best received when it happens in the context of personal relationships.
Loving Relationships — We believe in demonstrating our love in commitment and action.
Relevant Teaching — We believe God's Word is intended to be understood and applied to daily life.
Intentional Discipleship — We believe spiritual growth can and should be actively pursued by every believer.
Total Involvement — We believe the church is most effective when all members serve using their spiritual gifts.
Outward Focus — We believe the needs of people outside the church should take priority over the preferences of those inside the church.
